Geometric Textures
Mathematical patterns
140 textures
Geometric textures feature structured, mathematical patterns built from grids, tiles, and repeating shapes. Great for technical illustrations, game assets, UI backgrounds, and architectural materials. Every pattern snaps to a clean repeat for seamless tiling.

Geometric textures in depth
Characteristics of the category
Geometric textures — grids, tiles, brick patterns, checkerboards, hexagonal arrangements, chain mail, diamond plate, mosaic, herringbone — are defined by regular repetition and precise geometric construction. The category also includes industrial metal and circuit patterns because they share the visual language of engineered regularity. Unlike organic textures, geometric patterns reveal misalignment immediately — a half-cut tile along a mesh edge reads as a rendering error where a half-cut stone would read as natural.
How to apply these textures
Set UV coordinates so that complete pattern repeats fall on mesh vertices wherever possible. Tiled floor and wall surfaces should have their UVs scaled so tile boundaries align with grid intersections in the modelled geometry. For decorative applications (wallpaper, gift wrap, textile printing) exact repeat alignment is less critical because the pattern is the point rather than material simulation. Geometric patterns work well as CSS backgrounds — they compress efficiently and scale without losing crispness.
Colour guide
Geometric textures carry specific colour conventions by era: Art Deco skews bold primaries with metallic accents; modernist uses muted neutrals with a single saturated accent; Moorish geometric favours earth tones with deep blue; Victorian goes dark and saturated. The preset palettes on each generator draw from historical sources. For technical contexts (blueprint, engineering drawing, UI grids), cyan, blue, or white on a dark background reads as the convention without further customisation.
