Galvanized Worn Rust

How this texture was made

The rust generator layers orange and red oxide patches on top of a dark metal base, using FBM noise to produce the organic spreading pattern characteristic of corrosion. A separate streaking pass adds vertical rust streaks that read as rain-washed oxide running down a surface.

Zinc-coated steel with the galvanized layer wearing through to reveal rust beneath. Great for industrial fencing, ductwork, and utility textures.

Configuration choices

• roughness is set to 0.3, which sits in the mid range — balanced surface detail
• oxidationLevel is set to 0.25, which sits in the mid range — moderate character
• streakiness is set to 0.2, which is at the low end — with minimal visible streaking

The palette pairs pale dusty grey with dusty grey. It sits in a neutral range with visible contrast between lighter and darker zones.
