Apply as a CSS background for eco-friendly and organic-themed website sections. Use background-blend-mode: multiply over a warm tan base color to deepen the natural cork tone for text-heavy layouts.
background: url('texturize_cork.png') repeat;
background-size: 256px 256px;Use as Base Color with Roughness at 0.8-0.95 and add a Bump map at 0.02-0.04 strength for the porous surface texture. Cork is a great candidate for subtle Displacement to show the cellular pore structure at close range.
In Unity, use Parallax mapping to add depth to the cork pore structure without extra geometry. In Unreal, use a Heightmap with tessellation and set the Material to two-sided for realistic cork board and bottle stopper models.
Use as a pinboard background texture in Photoshop for note-style layouts and mood board designs. In Figma, apply as an image fill on rectangular frames for bulletin board-style UI components and natural material backgrounds.
Use for bulletin boards, wine bottles, coasters, and eco-friendly interior props in simulation and casual games. The distinctive porous texture is instantly recognizable and adds realistic material variety.
Use for cork flooring, acoustic wall panels, and sustainable material surfaces in green building interior renders. Cork is a popular eco-friendly material in contemporary sustainable architecture.
Use for wine industry packaging, eco-friendly product branding, and natural material product catalogs. The cork texture communicates sustainability, natural origin, and artisanal quality.
Creates a natural, organic backdrop for eco-brand content, wine industry posts, and sustainable lifestyle marketing. The warm, porous texture adds an earthy, authentic feel to digital content.

Classic light cork with balanced pore density and natural grain. Perfect for bulletin boards, product packaging, and organic background textures.

Dense, dark-toned cork reminiscent of wine bottle stoppers. Small tight pores with pronounced grain detail for realistic close-up renders.

Light, open-pored bulletin board cork with large visible pores and soft contrast. Ideal for memo board backgrounds and office interior scenes.

Aged, deeply darkened cork with high contrast and heavy grain texture. Great for vintage surfaces, wine cellar themes, and rustic design elements.

Smooth, lightly textured cork with minimal pore visibility and subtle grain. Suited for elegant packaging, light natural backgrounds, and product renders.

Very dark toasted cork with intense grain and high contrast. Ideal for wine industry branding, dark organic textures, and rustic charred surface effects.

Light compressed champagne cork with dense small pores and soft grain. Perfect for celebration-themed designs, premium packaging, and sparkling wine branding.

Speckled composite cork with large visible pores and moderate grain. Great for eco-friendly product renders, sustainable design mockups, and recycled material textures.

Bleached pale cork with minimal pores and very subtle grain texture. Suited for minimalist design backgrounds, clean natural surfaces, and light interior mockups.

Rough bark-like cork with strong grain and dense pore distribution. Ideal for tree bark overlays, natural woodland themes, and organic material renders.

The cork generator simulates the irregular cell structure of natural cork by layering a Voronoi decomposition with FBM for colour variation. Cork's distinctive appearance comes from its compressed cellular biology — millions of small air-filled cells give it the characteristic speckled look. The generator approximates this by placing Voronoi centres at varying densities and using the distance to the nearest centre as an input to a colour ramp. Darker cork pockets and lighter cell bodies are distinguished by additional noise that varies the brightness within each cell.
cellDensity controls the base cell size. colorVariance adjusts the spread of warm tones across the surface. darknessDistribution controls the proportion of dark versus light cells. warmth biases toward raw cork (warm beige) or treated cork (darker brown).
Product visualisation for cork-based products (coasters, bulletin boards, flooring, wine stoppers), sustainable and eco-themed design backgrounds, craft and DIY content, and natural-material branded backgrounds.
Real cork varies enormously depending on origin and processing. Portuguese wine cork is paler and tighter-grained than Mediterranean flooring cork. For bulletin-board cork (pressed cork), keep cell density moderate and texture uniform. For raw bark cork used in fashion accessories, raise both colour variance and darkness distribution significantly.
